About Us

Welcome to W.J. Turner Elevate Elementary School, proudly serving students and families in the Fort Worth Independent School District. We believe the success of every student is a shared responsibility among our school, families, and community. Together, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every Turner Tiger is empowered to learn, lead, and succeed.

Located in the heart of Fort Worth's historic Northside, W.J. Turner Elementary has proudly served generations of families since 1916. Our school is named in honor of William Jasper Turner, a pioneer rancher, philanthropist, and community leader whose generosity made the original Turner school possible through his donation of land. His commitment to education and service continues to inspire our school community today.

As a proud Fort Worth ISD Elevate campus, W.J. Turner provides students with additional opportunities designed to support academic achievement, enrichment, and whole-child development. Through innovative learning experiences, dedicated educators, and strong partnerships with families and the community, we work to ensure every student has the support and resources needed to succeed.

While we celebrate our rich history, our focus remains on preparing students for the future. Our mission is to provide a high-quality education where every child is challenged, supported, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential.

W.J. Turner is more than a school—it's a community. We celebrate the culture, traditions, and resilience of the Northside while building relationships that help every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally. Together, we are developing lifelong learners, future leaders, and proud Turner Tigers who are ready to make a positive impact in their community and beyond.

Once a Turner Tiger, always a Turner Tiger!
